Fulfilment estimate update!

Hello everyone,

I finally heard back from the shipping company so I have an updated estimate for getting the last batches of planters out. They said some staff have been off sick which caused a knock on effect, but are hoping to be back on track this week and for fulfilment to be concluded by next week!

I am still catching up on emails/comments, so if I have not gotten back to you yet I apologise for the delay.  If your planter arrived broken then the replacement will be sent after the remaining orders are fulfilled. Please note there may be some straggler orders (for example a few didn't carry over from Backerkit to the shipping software, not sure why!) but I'm currently working on resolving these and getting them shipped out. If you have any questions/concerns please send an email to [email protected] as Kickstarter DMs/comments may slip through and be missed!

Will they be sold on my shop?

I've had a few backers who have received their pledges ask if the planters will be available on my online shop, the answer is yes! Once fulfilment is complete the remaining planters/saucers/pins will be on my store (without the Kickstarter discount though!).

Fulfilment update + important notes

Hello everyone, 

I wanted to share some updates on fulfilment! So far 1131 orders have been sent with 490 more going out today/tomorrow and the rest over the next week or so. Thank you for the kind words so far, I'm really happy the planters are being well received! I started working on this project in 2020 and it's such a relief to finally be getting them out, thank you to those who have been patient and understanding about the delays during such turbulent times!

Important notes:

• Unfortunately there was an issue with shipping notices not being sent out. I have been working with Backerkit so now tracking emails should have been sent for US customers (I apologise if this is late, it took a little while to figure out), but for UK/EU/Rest of world there isn't tracking and I've been told that shipment notifications can't be sent. I'm truly sorry about this, I thought that I would be able to sent a shipping notification once the pledge is marked as shipped. Backerkit said that in the survey status you will be able to see if your pledge has shipped or not, 'If you need to review your status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://seedling-planters.backerkit.com.'. 
• Shipping has started for everywhere, I've had a few questions about this but yes Canada, Germany, France etc - everywhere is being sent out!
• Please note that as mentioned in the campaign, these are handpainted, each planter will be slightly unique and different. They aren't manufactured goods where every one is done by machine. However if you feel that you received a defective planter please send an email to [email protected]
• One batch of shipments accidentally had autumn leaf saucers instead of paw saucers, if you received this please send an email to [email protected] with photos so I can get this fixed for you!

US planters have arrived! + QC update

Hello everyone, I have some more updates on the progress so I'll be splitting them into UK/US. For the US planters they will only ship to the US, everywhere else (including Canada and Mexico) will be shipping from the UK.

UK planters/saucers:

The fulfilment for these will be resuming this week thankfully! The company finally got back to me on the quality checking process and it should be finished very soon and I believe we'll continue the shipping progress towards the end of the week. I apologise again for the delay! Please remember that these are handmade products so small inconsistencies are normal (ie visible brush strokes on white areas etc). No two planters are going to be exactly the same, the quality checking process is to remove any planters that have cracks, chips, or severe paint flaws. When your order ships you will receive a shipping notification via email.

US planters/saucers:

The US planters/saucers arrived finally! They're being unloaded this week, then quality checking will start (should be a lot faster than the UK ones as it's a bigger team). Please note the above information regarding the quality check! When your order ships you will receive a shipping notification and a tracking number via email.

Enamel pin orders: unfortunately these ended up on the back burner a bit as I've been so busy trying to get the planters and saucers in check! These will also resume shipping this week and should continue into next week

Thank you to those who have left me kind DMs and comments, as well as the positive feedback from those who have received their orders, it really is appreciated! This has been the biggest project I've had, as well as the most trouble I've had in all areas (production, shipping, etc). I'm truly sorry to those disappointed by the delays!

Hello everyone, 

I really apologise for the delay since my last update, it's been a tough month with lots of issues popping up. I like to have as much information as possible before posting an update but I know it can be concerning not to hear anything for a while so I will change how I go about this in the future!

The first few batches of planters have been shipped out, thankfully these have been very well received and I'm really happy you're enjoying them so far! If you'd like to see some customer photos you can view them on my Twitter here. 

I did receive messages from a couple of customers that their planters had damage, so I have paid to have each planter individually checked by the fulfilment company as I'm not sure if these issues happened on the way to the customer or if they happened on the way to the UK from the manufacturer.

This does take a lot more time than the initial regular spot check we did since there is a big volume of products to check, but I don't want anyone to be disappointed when receiving their order so I'd prefer to remove any damaged ones now. This means the tamper seal will be broken on the boxes so please don't be alarmed by that!

Unfortunately the second shipment containing the US products still hasn't arrived. I'm having some awful luck with delayed shipments as the ports are still heavily congested. Hopefully this should arrive soon though as I've been told it's passed through customs.

Again I truly am sorry for the delays with this Kickstarter and for the bad news. I'm trying my best to get everything out as soon as possible for you all. Once everything has been checked we can resume the order fulfilment, this should only take a few more days but might be delayed by Christmas holidays as the staff at the centre will have time off. Thank you so much for your patience, I will post an update as soon as fulfilment has been resumed!

Also as I've been asked this a few times, once your order has shipped you will receive a confirmation email so please keep an eye out for that!

First shipment has arrived!

Hello everyone,

Good news! The first shipment of planters + saucers arrived at the UK warehouse on the 28th. 

I asked for some more photos to share with you all - I'll leave them below! I hope you guys like them, there are some slight differences to the samples (especially with the hand painted details) but I've tried to ensure we get them as close as possible(:

These will start shipping out once they've been counted and checked but please note that the second shipment isn't arriving until around mid-November, so some customers will receive their planters earlier than others. Please don't worry if you see this happening, I've ordered more than enough so you'll definitely get your package soon! 

Also a reminder that I'm locking addresses on Oct 31st, so please let me know your final shipping address if it needs changing before then!

I also wanted to include some photos of the mini pins, I think they look so cute on the backing cards!

What's next?

As this Kickstarter is coming to a close, I'm launching a new project for a bag I started working on earlier this year!
